Interview with Stephen Colbert: "Window or corridor?": Prince Harry answers absurd and philosophical questions - and shows humor

Anyone who has read his autobiography "Reserve" should already know some facts from Prince Harry's life. And you should also get a somewhat clearer picture of the character of the ex-royal after reading it. But if you want to know more, Stephen Colbert has now published a bonus clip from his interview with the 38-year-old, which he conducted in January.

Prince Harry faces the "Colbert Questionert", a question and answer session that fans of the show should already be familiar with. The American asks his guests sometimes absurd, sometimes philosophical questions. And the celebrities opposite him have to answer as quickly as possible.

The first question makes Prince Harry ponder. "What's the best sandwich?" Colbert wants to know from him. "A cheese and ham toastie with Dijon mustard," replies Duchess Meghan's husband. The questions that follow are similarly harmless. One thing Harry desperately needs to throw away - torn boxers - or even the scariest animal - a snake.

Then Colbert gets a little more philosophical. "What happens when we die?" he asks the prince. Harry thinks for a moment, then replies he thinks we're becoming animals. "I like that. We're reborn," says Colbert. Harry himself would like to be reborn as an elephant, reveals the dropout royal, who writes about his love for Africa and elephants in several places in his book.

Harry probably gives the most confident answer to Colbert's question about "window or aisle", i.e. his favorite place on the plane. "Cockpit," replies Harry, who served in Afghanistan as a helicopter pilot for the British Army. Harry gets a big "Ohhh" from the audience for his answer to the question about his "favourite scent". With a mischievous smile he says: "My wife." At the end of the quiz, the prince reveals the five words he wants for the rest of his life: "Freedom, space, clarity, happiness, love."

The interview with Stephen Colbert in particular shows the prince's great talent: he can inspire and entertain the audience with his humor. A skill that is highly valued in the United States.
