Hollywood: "Creed"-Star Michael B. Jordan enthüllt "Walk of Fame"-Stern

Shortly before the theatrical release of "Creed III - Rocky's Legacy", US actor and director Michael B. Jordan was immortalized on Hollywood's "Walk of Fame". The 36-year-old star unveiled the 2751st plaque on the famous sidewalk. The boxing drama "Creed III" hits theaters this weekend and is Jordan's directorial debut. He also plays the lead role of the boxer Adonis Creed, as in the first two films of the trilogy.

Jordan was happy about the "pretty cool" star honor at the ceremony. He would never have dreamed of that as a child in New Jersey, said the black star through tears. He is grateful to now have a star to represent their community alongside legends like Sidney Poitier, Cicely Tyson and Sam Cooke.

As guest speakers, "Black Panther" director Ryan Coogler (36) and "Creed III" co-star Jonathan Majors (33) paid tribute. Coogler brought Jordan in front of the camera for his directorial debut "Next Stop: Fruitvale Station" in 2013. It was Jordan's first feature film lead role. In the factual drama he played the African American Oscar Grant, who was shot by white police officers in a subway station in 2009. The low-budget film received numerous awards, including the trophy for best first film in Cannes.

Jordan starred in the 2018 superhero flick Black Panther as King's Son T'Challa's (Chadwick Boseman) antagonist Erik Killmonger. His leading role as a young lawyer in the legal drama "Just Mercy" also attracted attention. In 2020, Jordan was named People magazine's Sexiest Man Alive.
