Criticism of "The Crown": "It's inhuman": The family of Diana's deceased chauffeur attacks Netflix

Filming on the sixth and final season of the Netflix series "The Crown" has not yet been completed. But there is already harsh criticism of some of the scenes that will be seen in the final episodes.

Because it is already known that Princess Diana's death will also occur. The ex-wife of today's King Charles III. and mother of Prince William and Prince Harry died in a car accident in Paris on August 31, 1997. Her partner Dodi Al-Fayed and the chauffeur Henri Paul also died.

His family has now spoken to Netflix in no uncertain terms and violently attacked the streaming service. Pictures of the shooting had previously surfaced, showing how the accident is recreated in the series.

This causes great pain for the bereaved. Alain Paul, the chauffeur's brother, and his best friend Claude Garrec accuse the series makers of exploiting Paul's death and "throwing him to the wolves".

"I don't want to see the car wreck my brother died in again and again," said the Frenchman who lives in Lorient of the "Daily Mail". "This is inhumane."

He and his family found the dramatization of his brother's death to be cruel. Netflix didn't warn him that the tragedy would be spotlighted again.

"Once again people are trying to profit from the deaths of my brother and Princess Diana," Paul told the British newspaper. "I don't see how they can call this entertainment. It's just business for them. Then they can send me a check too."

As in season five, Diana is played by Elizabeth Debicki in the finale. Probably later this year, the ten episodes that will bring the series to an end will be released on Netflix.

Then Alain Paul will also look. So far he has ignored "The Crown". But in the final he is there: "I want to know exactly what they say about my brother and how they treat him."
