Billboard Charts: Taylor Swift pushes a third of artists off the charts, taking 32 spots

Taylor Swift's double album "The Tortured Poets Department" was released on April 19th and was streamed 14.4 million times in just 24 hours. In doing so, she set a new record; no artist had ever achieved so many streams on the day of release.

But that's not all, the Swifties not only streamed the new album until they dropped, older songs, like the track "Cruel Summer", which she released in August 2019, also appeared again in the Billboard "Hot 100" charts. Of course, every song from Taylor Swift's current album is currently in the charts.

The artist currently occupies 32 places out of a total of 100 with her works, which is almost a third of the charts and other artists hardly have a chance. Of course, her current single “Fortnight,” a song she recorded with rapper Post Malone, dominates the top spot. The video also has enormous numbers of hits on YouTube. In just eleven days, almost 49 million people saw the clip on the video platform.

The music magazine “Musikexpress” has listed Swift’s rankings in the Billboard charts. Swift occupied the first fourteen places without interruption:

Since the beginning of the Billboard charts 65 years ago, no artist has managed to place so many songs in the "Hot 100" at the same time. Taylor Swift is surpassed by only one artist in this regard: Morgan Wallen. In March 2023, Wallen released his album "One thing at a time", which contained an incredible 36 songs, all of which made it to the charts.
