Beyoncé: That's the name of her new country album

Beyoncé (42) has released new details about her next album. According to her Instagram account, the country album will be called "Act II: Cowboy Carter." The long player will be released on March 29th.

The musician shared the title and release date in her Instagram bio. In her story, Queen B also posted a photo of a saddle, seemingly made of metal, with a red, white and blue sash that says "Cowboy Carter" - most likely a first look at the cover of the new album.

The image is currently the homepage of her website "beyonce.com". The shimmering saddle can also be understood as a continuation of her album “Renaissance,” which was released in 2022, on the cover of which Beyoncé posed scantily dressed on a glowing horse.

In her online shop, where fans can already pre-order the new album, an alternative artwork can also be seen that shows close-ups of the Grammy winner's face with different styling.

The superstar announced his new album in February with a commercial during the Super Bowl. The clip already hinted that Beyoncé will delve into the country genre next. She then confirmed the speculation by releasing the new, authentic country songs "Texas Hold 'Em" and "16 Carriages". Shortly afterwards, with "Texas Hold 'Em," she became the first black woman to reach number one on the country charts, according to Variety.

“Renaissance” had already been announced as the first part of a three-part project. The album consisted of dance and house tracks and is intended as a tribute to the queer black community and club culture. On her eighth album, Beyoncé is apparently exploring the country genre. What awaits fans with the ninth album, the third part of the trilogy, is not yet known.
