Is that a dachshund head? Horst Lichter and Sven Deutschmanek do not quite agree which dog breed is on the table at "Bares for Rares". One thing is certain: it comes in the form of a cigar cutter. It belongs to Michaela Wolter. The 55-year-old bought it at a flea market 20 years ago and now wants to part with it.

Deutschmanek explains how this "cutter" works, which in the present form is probably aimed at hunters and was manufactured in the 1920s. The seller would like 250 euros for the dachshund. She wants to use the money to buy concert tickets for Peter Maffay.

But the expert thwarts her plans: "250 euros, that's utopian," says Deutschmanek, and finds it difficult to suppress a laugh. "I can't imagine that. He's definitely not going to do that." The expert estimates the value at just 60 to 80 euros. The saleswoman still wants to try her luck.

A wise decision: because the item is met with great interest in the dealer room. Here, too, there are initially discussions about the dog breed. While Pauritsch relies on a dachshund, Lisa Nüdling thinks the animal is a bloodhound. To clarify, she asks Michaela Wolter for an assessment: "Is it correct that this is a mountain sweat dachshund?" she asks - and with this imagined breed, she gets a lot of laughter from her colleagues.

The relaxed atmosphere is also reflected in the bids: Fabian Kahl opens the auction directly with 80 euros - the upper limit of the estimated value. The price quickly rises, and in the end Jos van Katwijk gets the bid for 220 euros. This gives Michaela Wolter almost the amount she wanted - and punishes Sven Deutschmanek, who thought it was impossible, to lie. Now she is looking forward to two concert tickets for Peter Maffay, "and a beer too".
