There is new information forward in the long history of abuse of EU funds in the Danish people's Party, known as the 'Sign and Feld-case', which is now being investigated by the fraud squad.

the Case represents not only a worrying picture of the party's dealings with money and documents. It is also a stilstudie in, when the only remaining defense is silence.

In the beginning handled Morten Messerschmidt presseomtalen, until he was on sick leave and in a longer period of time was 'out in the cold' in DF.

But the Messerschmidt is not a hr. anyone in DF, so he came back, was elected in the Parliament, and took again a natural place at the top of the party.

After valgnederlaget in June, he has even challenged the president's political line. One can certainly not accuse Messerschmidt to behave like a guilty man.

the Case started in October 2015, where Rikke Karlsson volunteered out of the DF in protest against the Messerschmidt, including his financial management.

"She is a little confused girl who comes from the european union to Brussels and can't fathom what's happening," came the explanation from Messerschmidt, who also then raised, that 'all rules are complied with to the letter', that the accounts are displayed on the european parliament website.

Later, both he and the party to admit 'sloppiness', but declined, continuing the fudge fraud.

And yet paid the millions back along a few laps. Now tier the just be quiet.

It is a classic template, the DF has been followed in the case. First attacking the prosecutor's credibility and interests in the case, so touting one 'case' as a politically motivated project, orchestrated by a yndlingsmodstander - the EU - and then makes you aware of how unfairly one is treated. And it was easy, for the EU's slow investigation of the case seemed unfair in itself.

And in the meantime, voters heard so much about it that they did their job, up and then volunteered out of all subsequent coverage.

There was just one problem. Most krisesager start with the worst accusation, and ends with small things.

In this case it has to be vice versa. The case is like an iceberg, who was sweating slightly in the heat, in the beginning, but now breaks in the heavy ice floes, not only can knock down a passer-by kayak, but potentially also a writer with a huge defeat in the elections on the CV.

It is therefore, DF is now quiet. There is too much at stake - and they have no more tools in the toolbox.
