The industrial production rediscovers colors. In may, it rebounded to 19.6% in France, returning to almost what it had lost in April (- 20,6 %), according to figures published by Insee on Friday 10 July. On the months of march to may, compared to the previous three months, the industrial production slumped by 23.4 %, leaded by the health crisis and containment, has yet reported the national statistics Institute. About a year (in may 2020, compared to may 2019), the industrial production contracted even more sharply, by 25.4 %, and 27.7 % for only manufacturing industries.

the rebound in The month of may compared to April has been the most important for the construction industry (+ 118,5 %), whereas the construction sites were often down during the confinement. Following transport equipment (+ 49,9 %), which include the automotive industry and equipment goods (+ 27.4 per cent). The rebound has been the weakest for the agri-food industries (+ 1.8 percent), which had comparatively less suffered in April with a fall limited to 7.5% compared to march.
