Sugar for children: Nutrition expert: Why Quetschies are "terrible" - and parents have to be role models

When I pick up my almost three-year-old daughter from daycare, she always asks me the same question: "Mamaaa, can I have snacks?" You are the nutritionist, Frau von Cramm. What do you think I should do to her?

Dagmar von Cramm: I would suggest you get her a pomelo that you can pick together. Or a fruit plate with chopped fruit. Even if it's not in season, you can also give her blueberries. They also don't cost as much as sweets that are otherwise available for purchase.

What about Quetschies?

Terrible.

But isn't there fruit in there?
