Münster: deadly argument at a folk festival - the perpetrators are still on the run

Two days after the fatal argument at a fair in Münster, the perpetrator is still on the run. A police spokesman said.

An unknown person got into an argument with a 31-year-old on a carousel on Saturday evening. The perpetrator is said to have stabbed his victim with a knife. Despite immediate resuscitation measures, the 31-year-old died on the spot from his injuries. A homicide squad has started the investigation.

"The autopsy of the body showed that the 31-year-old received a stab in the heart and died due to blood loss," said senior public prosecutor Martin Botzenhardt after an autopsy on the man on Sunday. "No other stab wounds were found."

According to the public prosecutor's office, the suspect was accompanied by a male at the Send festival. After the incident, both fled. According to the public prosecutor's office, the suspicion only refers to one person, not to the companion. There is also no indication that the 31-year-old victim "could have provoked a dispute in any way," said senior public prosecutor Martin Botzenhardt on Sunday.
