Millie Bobby Brown: "Stranger Things" star wants to play Britney

Millie Bobby Brown (18) has had great success with "Stranger Things" and the "Enola Holmes" films. But the young actress has a special wish: Brown wants to embody Britney Spears (40), as she reveals in an interview with Drew Barrymore (47).

The actress and presenter asked the 18-year-old on her "The Drew Barrymore Show" what a project she would particularly like to do. "I want to play a real person," Brown replies. In particular, she would like to slip into the role of Spears, as she continues.

Brown is moved by the singer's past, for example when she looks at old Spears interviews. The 18-year-old grew up in public herself. She doesn't know the pop star personally, "but when I look at pictures of her, I feel like I can tell her story in the right way - and only hers". Spears was under her father's guardianship for more than 13 years after she was incapacitated in 2008. In November 2021, a US court revoked the guardianship.

Millie Bobby Brown is best known for her role as Eleven on Netflix's hit series Stranger Things. "Enola Holmes 2" was also recently released. In the feature film and its predecessor, also on Netflix, Brown plays the younger sister of cult detective Sherlock Holmes (Henry Cavill, 39).
