Israeli army kills suspected attacker after auto attack

According to the Israeli rescue service Magen David Adom, three men were injured, one of them seriously. They were taken to hospitals in Jerusalem.

Information on the identity of the alleged attacker was initially not available. Beit Ummar is located a few kilometers north of Hebron in the West Bank, which has been occupied by Israel since 1967.

Israeli police killed an Israeli Arab in Jerusalem on Saturday night. According to the police, officials stopped the 26-year-old medical student at one of the entrance gates to the Temple Mount and questioned him. The "terrorist" attacked a police officer, stole his gun and fired a shot. The officers reportedly fought with the man and shot him dead.

The deceased's family questioned the information provided by the police. The Islamic conservative Raam party, represented in the Israeli parliament, rejected the representation.

At least 88 Palestinians have been killed in the conflict since the beginning of the year, including militant activists, but also civilians and children, an Arab Israeli, 14 Israelis, including security forces and civilians, and a Ukrainian.
