Good that the beach bar at the bathing lake is already open. At eleven o'clock in the morning the sun is beating down high and the guests are grateful for Steffi's well-chilled lemonade. Steffi is the operator of the beach bar and her full name is Stefanie Driver. But here on the campsite in Lower Saxony's Duxbachtal between Hamburg, Bremen and Cuxhaven, everyone only addresses you by first and first name, she says. Hannes and Lutz are sitting at the bar. Hannes has been the owner of the campsite for a year. Lutz is here for the third time on this summer's day and wants to clarify final formalities with Hannes. Because Lutz and his wife Heike want to settle here. Not as permanent campers, but as the first residents of a new village.
