A drunken burglar was caught by the residents of the house in Erfurt and threw a pot and a pot lid at the couple. As a police spokesman announced on Sunday, the 30-year-old missed his target on Saturday morning and no one was injured.

According to initial investigations, the 30-year-old broke into the kitchen on the ground floor of the family home through the patio door at around 6 a.m. The two 66-year-old residents were already awake and came to see what was going on. When the burglar noticed the couple, he started throwing things at both of them. The police found the man a short time later in the garden of the house and temporarily arrested him.
