Baden-Württemberg: At least two pensioners killed: police arrest suspected serial killer – 31-year-old in custody

He is said to have murdered at least two pensioners: the police in Baden-Württemberg arrested a suspected serial killer. The investigators from the police headquarters informed Allen at a short-term press conference in Schwäbisch Hall. The DPA news agency and the "Bild" newspaper had previously reported on the arrest.

According to the information, the suspect is a 31-year-old father of two from Serbia. Police President Reiner Möller said he was overwhelmed by special police forces at his place of residence on Tuesday morning. According to the public prosecutor's office, an arrest warrant was issued on suspicion of murder, among other things. He has not yet commented on the allegations, said senior public prosecutor Harald Lustig.

The man is suspected of having attacked and killed three senior citizens in the apartments in northern Baden-Württemberg since October 2020, the last of the acts occurred last Wednesday in the municipality of Michelbach (Schwäbisch Hall district).

Around two weeks ago, the same man is said to have also threatened a pensioner in his home in Ilshofen (also in the Schwäbisch Hall district) with a gun and hit him in the face to steal money. The police headquarters in Aalen then published an identikit of the perpetrator. A special commission has been investigating the murder cases since December 2022. The officials assumed a serial offender due to the accumulation of cases in the region.

More on that shortly here.
