Two 16-year-olds are said to have beaten and robbed a homeless man in Kiel. The crime happened on Wednesday night, the police said on Thursday. The 49-year-old man slept in front of a bank branch in the city center. The young people are said to have demanded money from him. When the man refused, the 16-year-old hit him several times, injuring him slightly. The 49-year-old fled. The alleged perpetrators took his backpack and left the crime scene. A passer-by called the police.

Officials found the homeless man near the train station. The stolen backpack was also discovered. Police officers arrested the two 16-year-olds near the crime scene. After the police measures, they handed the young people over to their legal guardians.
