Truck carrying pigs overturned Wednesday night. Several pigs may subsequently be killed due to damage.

One of the more attention-grabbing car accident has on Wednesday claimed the lives of 140 pigs life.

In Middelfart, overturned a truck with pigs early Wednesday evening at a roundabout.

It resulted in cordons for hours in connection with the clean-up, where the pigs were to be loaded in a second truck.

But it was not only the traffic, which was affected by the accident. Several of the pigs came so much hurt, that they should be killed.

Therefore, the veterinary surgeon summoned to the site to assess the pigs that had to leave the life.

23 o'clock on Wednesday evening, the cleaning up done, inform The Police on Twitter.

- All barriers are removed, and the traffic can freely run on the spot. Approximately 140 pigs out of 650 people were killed. We can not yet comment on the cause of the accident, writes the police.

There was no personal injury in the accident.
