in Total, were released into the wild the information in accordance with 29 animals in the stone forest, the southern Fichtelgebirge and the upper Palatinate forest out. They come from the offspring to different Zoos, including the one in Nuremberg, and two facilities in France.

The elf Habichtskäuze were initially fed for four weeks in an aviary where they could be used to the environment. Shy, but with strong wing beats, the seven females and four males were flown then in the freedom of informed VLAB-Chairman John Bradtka.

The Ural owl is the largest and one of the rarest owls in Central Europe. He is about 60 centimeters tall, has a wingspan of 125 cm and can be more than 20 years old. In Germany, he had been around for 100 years to be extinct.

In the northeast of Bavaria, the birds find Bradtka according to appropriate conditions. The Region is sparsely populated, the harsh climate of doing nothing to them, and to prey animals - especially mice - not lack it. For the 10-year project, numerous nest boxes have been hung.
