Fire brigade Mönchengladbach: FW-MG: Triggered home smoke detectors by burning food

They heard in the middle of the night the triggered home smoke detectors from the neighboring apartment, in which light was still burning. Knocking and sounding of the neighbors was unheard before and so the fire brigade had to gain access to the apartment. Burnt food had consumed the entire apartment so much that the resident had to be examined by the emergency doctor at the scene. With a ventilation device, the apartment was made smoke-free again, so that the tenant could return to his apartment unharmed after the fire service.

The fire and Rescue Service train 1 (Neuwerk), the fire and rescue service vehicle 2 (Holt), the Neuwerk unit of the Volunteer Fire Brigade, two ambulances and an emergency doctor as well as the management service of the Mönchengladbach Professional Fire Brigade were deployed.
