Klinsmann was Lehmann's predecessor in the Hertha-Supervisory Board Investor Lars Windhorst and had his office during the time as a coach to rest. After his spectacular withdrawal as Hertha Coach in February Klinsmann of Windhorst was the return to the Supervisory Board failed.
