Released in late June in the us scientific journal PNAS, a scientific article co-authored by, among others, George Gao, the director of the Centre for control and prevention of diseases, the constable of the epidemics in China, has alarmed the public, some of them imagining that the Covid-19 could be immediately followed by a new pandemic. This is obviously not the intention of these scientists, who conduct long-term surveillance of emerging viruses in the pig.
