The Grand Theft Auto Trilogy is being remastered for PC, consoles and Nintendo Switch

Rockstar Games confirmed that Grand Theft Auto III and Vice City will each receive HD remasters after several rumors. The package will include Grand Theft Auto III, Vice City and San Andreas HD remasters. They will be available on PC via the Rockstar Games Launcher, PlayStation, Xbox and, most surprisingly, the Nintendo Switch. It will be available for iOS and Android in 2022's first half. The pricing and release date information have not been revealed.

It hasn't shared footage or details about the technical changes made by the company. It does say that all the games have received "across the-board improvements including graphical enhancements and modern gameplay enhancements." However, the company has not shared any footage or details.

If you grew up playing Grand Theft Auto V (8 years ago), and don't have an easy way to enjoy these older games, now is the time to get started. Although it might seem strange to not be able to swap between protagonists in Grand Theft Auto, the adventures of Claude (the silent protagonist in GTA III), Tommy Vercetti, Vice City, and CJ in San Andreas is still well worth the effort.

Rockstar claims that more information about the games collection will be revealed in the coming weeks. However, the company will begin to remove existing titles from its digital storefronts before the launch. So if you're interested in those titles, grab them now, before they disappear forever.
