Woods is back on the PGA Tour, but only as a tournament organizer

Tiger Woods was able to see Riviera from his balcony at the clubhouse Wednesday, a glimpse of the Pacific Ocean above the trees, and a course that is reputedly as good as any on PGA Tour.

Woods is back on the PGA Tour, but only as a tournament organizer

He expects the course to be fast and firm, and that the greens will get more difficult. Woods finally accepted this realization.

He smiled and said, "Well," "I can't give you guys the plan because it's not my playing."

He is the tournament host for the Genesis Invitational. He will remain that way until his injuries from the horrific car accident a year ago, 20 miles from Riviera, are sufficient to allow him to return to playing.

Woods estimates that he will only be able play a handful of events per year. It all starts with being able walk while competing. The most frustrating thing is not knowing when it will be.

He stated that his golf skills have been less since he played with his son at the PNC Championship two months ago, when he was able to ride in a cart.

Woods stated Wednesday that his leg wasn't in a good place about a year ago. He also said that he had had to go through many different operations and different scenarios. It's been hard, but I've made it this far. I've come this far, but I still have a lot to do. Every day is a fight, and I'm happy to have that fight.

Woods was driving on a twisty road in Los Angeles suburbs, the Tuesday following the Genesis Invitational last season. Woods' SUV was traveling at 85 mph and crashed down a hill after it crossed the median.

Woods stated that his right leg and foot were fractured, causing severe injuries. Woods suggested that doctors considered amputation.

Rory McIlroy stated that at this point, "I think we're all just happy he's here and moving well and he can be a father, just be this tournament’s host and all that stuff."

Woods gave him hope that he would return to the PNC Championship, playing with his son. He finished one shot behind Charlie. Woods, who was riding a cart on a flat Florida track, was not included in the performance.

It's easy to be a weekend warrior. It's not difficult," Woods stated. Hit your ball, jump in a cart and ride. Once you are done, grab your clubs and head to the next green. The longest distance you can walk is likely from the cart to your green and back. Walking on a golf course is quite another. It's quite a different experience.

He also spoke out about how hard it was to get around after four back surgeries. His remarkable recovery culminated in his 2019 Masters win, his 15th major. After undergoing a fifth back operation, he crashed his car.

Woods, 46, is not to be missed. Woods is 46 years old. It takes him longer to heal.

He said that he still had a lot of work to do.

Augusta National is the most difficult major walk, so it seems unlikely that Woods will take part. Woods didn't seem interested in the Par 3 tournament, which is a short walk but still a long walk. However, he will likely be there for the Masters champion's dinner.

He spends his time reading (most Dean Koontz), playing games, and spending more time on his foundation.

In December, he made it clear that he would not play again a full-time schedule. This has not changed. It's now a matter when he can actually play. Woods did not give any details about the shape of his right leg, except to smile and state, "My right leg doesn't look like mine, put it this way."

The anticipation for his return, no matter how long it takes, will be just as high as ever. Adam Scott recalled the shocking news about the February 23rd crash and recalled the shocking reports.

Scott stated that Scott couldn't help but wonder if he would ever walk again. It was amazing to see him play in the last year. He's been through a lot, and it was quite impressive for someone who has had to recuperate from such a serious accident. This is a positive thing.

Scott stated that he hoped to be able "to play a bit more". It will be sad when he stops playing, but it seems that he has hinted that he might play someday. That should be something we all can enjoy.
