With the curtain on the season thrown and the two main signings tied, Real Madrid has focused on the works of its house, a Santiago Bernabéu that has little to do with the one that saw the start of work on its structure back in the month of May 2019. A spectacle worth seeing up close, which catches the eyes of pedestrians and drivers who pass through the area, and which delights white fans.

Also from the websites specialized in the works and the youtubers who daily review the progress of the works. One of these pages, 'nuevoestadiobernabeu.com', has published some photographs of the stadium, in which the state of the work on the Paseo de la Castellana site can be seen.

One of the most curious snapshots has to do with what is happening on the pitch. Or at least in the area that the green should occupy where the first team will play their matches. An area from which the grass was removed as soon as the season ended and after the team celebrated the League and Champions League titles. In its place, now you can see several rails that will be used by the new retractable grass, one of the jewels of the new Bernabéu, to then hide in the hidden greenhouse under one of the sides.

In the immense work that the modernization of the Santiago Bernabéu has become, more than 400 lines of action have been carried out simultaneously. Specifically 422, according to 'nuevoestadiobernabeu.com'. A record figure and a real outrage that includes the aforementioned retractable grass, a new grandstand, the logistics tunnel, the car park, the roofs, the surrounding skin or the greenhouse, among many other actions.

Although among all these works that the army of workers that swarms through the Bernabéu is carrying out, one stood out above the rest this Thursday: the hoisting of the so-called museum beam.

It is a huge three-story structure that will house the new white club museum, increasingly demanded by the club's achievements. A framework of steel columns that will hang directly from the colossal crown beam and that was raised with a delicate procedure that has lasted several hours.

The remodeling process of the historic Madrid stadium is advancing unstoppably. Real Madrid has been able to make the most of the circumstances to speed up the works, such as the campaign it played at the Alfredo di Stéfano stadium, in the Valdebebas sports city, or the long breaks without games in the different competitions.

The intention of the white club is to finish the very complex works of its stadium at the end of 2022, so that its reopening could take place coinciding with the 75th anniversary of the legendary building. And the goal is to make the Bernabéu one of the most modern and important sports venues in the world, with the capacity to raise some 150 million euros per season.
