The Real Club Náutico de Palma (RCNP) will serve one more year as a social base and will take on the technical organization of the Super Yacht Cup (SYC) regatta, which will bring together a fleet made up of 12 very long boats in the Balearic capital, from 29 from June to July 2.

Among the participants are four units of the majestic J Class, which guarantees a high-level visual and sporting spectacle.

The SYC is the longest-running meeting of tall ships in Europe and arouses great interest in the international specialized press. Its first edition dates back to 2009 and has been held continuously until today, with the exception of 2020, when it was postponed.

This morning the agreement between Aquamarine Events and the RCNP, as a sporting and social collaborator of the regatta, was signed.

Emerico Fuster, president of the club, and Katherine Branagh, head of the firm that owns the rights to the Super Yacht Cup, have agreed that it is an event of great importance for Palma.

Vivi Mainemare, RCNP sports coordinator, highlighted the presence of the J Class: “It had been a long time since there had been four boats of this nature in the Bay of Palma. They will compete for four days, one more than the rest of the fleet, and will offer a unique show”.

The J Class will sail from June 29 until the closing day, July 2, when the trophy ceremony will be held at the RCNP.

The rest of the competition will start on June 30. Five of the participants will be moored at the Real Club Náutico de Palma.
