After the publication of the Regatta Announcement and the opening of the inscriptions, the Puerto Sherry Yacht Club begins the countdown to the celebration of its queen event, the Pedro Bores Classic-Memorial Week, which will unfurl its sails between the next days 20 and 24 of July.

After the publication of the Regatta Announcement and the opening of the inscriptions, the Puerto Sherry Yacht Club begins the countdown to the celebration of its queen event, the Pedro Bores Classic-Memorial Week, which will unfurl its sails between the next days 20 and 24 of July.

Organized by Club Náutico Puerto Sherry, Puerto Deportivo Sherry, the regatta counts for the XII Mare Nostrum Classics Trophy - Spanish Cup for Classic Boats and C.I.M. Period, as well as the Spanish Cup for Classic Boats and JCH Period. In addition, the Porto event is part of the commemorative program of the V Centenary of the First Around the World.

Registration is open to Vintage boats, launched before December 31, 1949, Classic boats, launched between January 1, 1950 and December 31, 1975, Retro, launched before January 1, 1993, Mini -Classic, less than 7 meters in length, and Spirit of Tradition.

The program for the sixth edition of the regatta will begin on July 20 with the usual registration of participants and the official welcoming ceremony for the sailors. The sea trials will begin on Thursday the 21st, with a series of coastal regattas that will cover the bay of Cadiz offering an attractive spectacle seen both from the sea and from land.

As in previous editions, the organization is planning a parallel social program that will turn the facilities of the Puerto Sherry Marina into the perfect destination to enjoy both the sporting aspect and the glamor that surrounds classic sailing.

Pending confirmation of entries, the participation of the winners of the last edition is expected, headed by the Seventy of the Estrella del Viento team, a Mälar 30 launched in 1954, designed by Lage Eklund, winner of the Classics category; the Maylo, a Beg-Meil owned by Jorge Roa, winner of the Mini-Clásico; and Eric Perignat's Buzz Lightyear, Starlight 30, winner in Retro.
