Jose Mourinho, after Roma's Europa Conference League win: We made history

Jose Mourinho won his fifth major European title with the Europa Conference League win with Roma. Nicolo Zaniolo's goal in the first half was the difference in the final with Feyenoord. Mourinho doesn't plan to leave and seeks new challenges.

Jose Mourinho, an emotional manager, celebrated his historic achievement of becoming the second manager to win five major European titles (after Giovanni Trapattoni) as his AS Roma team won the Europa Conference League.

Mourinho, who has previously won the Champions League Europa League, the UEFA Cup and the Champions League, achieved a rare European trophy haul when Roma defeated Feyenoord 1-0 at Tirana to add the inaugural Conference League to the collection.

This is the five European finals that he won in his spells at Porto (Inter Milan), Manchester United, and now Roma (since 2003).

Mourinho stated, "The greatest thing about my career, apart from the Europa League match with Manchester United with Roma, is that it was done with Porto, Inter, and Roma. It is very, very special."

"This is not only a part of the Roma history, but it's also my story. It was only me, Sir Alex Ferguson and Giovanni Trapattoni who won the trophies in three decades. Although it makes me feel old, it is good for my career.

It's one thing to win when everybody expects it, when it was your investment to win. But it's another to win when it feels special, when it feels like something is forever.

Mourinho's first season in Rome was a successful one. He had steered his team to a sixth-place finish in Serie A.
