The Costa Rican team has achieved the last vacant ticket for the Qatar 2022 World Cup, after defeating New Zealand in a close tie thanks to an early goal by Joel Campbell in the third minute of play.

The Central American team, which had considerable difficulty in expressing its theoretical superiority over the New Zealanders on the pitch, thus completed the list of 32 countries that will play in the first World Cup in winter.

The team of Keylor Navas, Bryan Ruiz and company remains in fourth place in group E, in which Spain is drawn, and will be the first rival of Luis Enrique's team in the tournament, on November 23.
