Ramona Hofmeister from Bishop meadows has won the overall world Cup in Alpine snowboarding. In the Interview, Hofmeister talks about the world Cup, the Olympics and the Corona time.

Bishop meadows - With six world Cup victories, two Wins in the Mixed and two podium finishes in Ramona Hofmeister won the last world Cup season as the second German athlete to Amelie Kober of 2009, the overall world Cup in Alpine Snowboard and became the most successful German winter athlete of the season 2019/20.

In the first part of the interview with BGland24.de speaks the 24-Year-old from Bischofswiesen on their successes last Winter, their experiences during the Corona-crisis and the unequal treatment of snowboarders at the Olympics.

woman Hofmeister, how have you experienced the past few weeks, in times of Corona?

Ramona Hofmeister (24): I'm in good health, which is these days the most important. Like after a long world Cup Winter usual, I had planned a longer holiday, I wanted to travel with my family to Kenya. The holiday we had to cancel of course, but the health is in these days in the foreground. Therefore, I can not complain.

How has your training routine changed by the current Situation?

Hofmeister: We had planned a material test that could not take place if the circumstances unfortunately. Therefore, my focus was in the past few weeks, on the basis of endurance, which we need for the Winter. I'm in the fresh air on the go, travel a lot on the road bike. In addition, I have set up in my basement, a small gym, in which I'm doing with my sister regularly Workouts.
