The formula 1 will not start until the beginning of July, in the season 2020, but the engines are revving in the coming week for the first time again. The Mercedes Team has been announced for Tuesday and Wednesday a two-day private Test in Silverstone. Valtteri Bottas will drive the silver arrow on the first day, world champion Lewis Hamilton on the second.

will be driven in the Mercedes W09 of the season, to 2018, because private test drives in current cars and previous year are forbidden to cars by regulations. The Test is, according to article 10.2 of the Sporting regulations as a "Testing of Previous Cars" (TPC). In such a test only cars are allowed to be used, which are between two and four years old.

This also means that one must test any new parts and also not with the current motors, or drive tire. It is, therefore, a Test of the car, rather, it is about the fact that, for example, the pilots who sat the Test in February, in the cars, back to the forces to get used to working in a formula 1 car.

Also for the Team of the Test is important to get used to the processes. Similar plans of other teams are not yet known, however, one can assume that Mercedes will not remain the only Team to post before the start of the season at Spielberg is still a Test.
