Ferrari team boss Mattia Binotto has for the first time publicly admitted that the Technical regulations, the FIA have ensured that the engine of the Ferrari performance has been lost. Previously had spoken to the Scuderia's always with a different philosophy: It was more went on to drive and lost speed on the Straights.

But now, Binotto acknowledges for the first time, that the directives were a trigger: "The rules are quite difficult and complex. I think that there are areas where it still needs to be clarified. This is an ongoing process that has always existed and will continue to exist," he says.

"Since last year, many of the Technical directives, which have created clarity in some areas. I think that we had to adapt these directives," said Binotto.

He stressed, however, that this relates only Ferrari, but also all the other engine manufacturers in formula 1. "But we had to adjust as the Ferrari clear way, and the simple consequence is the fact that we have lost some Performance."

Ferrari and the FIA had announced before the start of the season in a secret Deal that had to do with the investigations at the drive unit. In vain, the opponents attempted to gain Details about it, but so far, both sides are silent on the subject.

The opponents can smell fraud in the previous year, because Ferrari have lost engines this year, significantly more power - this is also seen in the customer teams, Alfa Romeo and Haas.
