After Floyd's death: Hamilton Silence in white formula 1 criticized

world champion Lewis Hamilton has criticised the Silence of the "White-dominated" formula 1 after the death of the African-American George Floyd by police violence in the United States. "You who are silent, I see you. Some of you are the biggest Stars, and yet you remain in the midst of the injustice to a standstill," wrote Mercedes driver Hamilton in an emotional Instagram post.

There was "no reaction from anyone" in his Sport is "dominated by White": "I am one of the few Colored and stand alone."

He was in favour of exclusively peaceful Protest and no looting, the Briton said: "There can be no peace, until our so-called leaders achieve change."

This relates not only to the USA but also the UK. "The way minorities are treated, must change. We are not born with racism and hatred in the heart. It is taught us by those who look up to where we are," wrote Hamilton.
