World Cup in Beitostölen: Cross-country skier Hennig comes fourth in Norway

Cross-country skier Katharina Hennig just missed her third podium result of the winter as fourth. The 26-year-old was 6.5 seconds behind third place in Beitostölen in Norway and Sweden's Frida Karlsson.

Finland's Kerttu Niskanen secured victory in the race over ten kilometers in the classic technique ahead of Anne Kjersti Kalvaa from Norway. As the second best German, Victoria Carl took ninth place.

With her fourth place, Hennig confirmed her good form. At the start of the season in Ruka, Finland, the athlete from WSC Erzgebirge Oberwiesenthal took third place over ten kilometers classic. At the second World Cup station in Lillehammer, Norway, Hennig finished second over ten kilometers of freestyle. In October she was still struggling with a corona infection.
