Transfer: Ronaldo's move to Al-Nassr is said to be perfect

According to media reports, the signing of football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo by Al-Nassr FC is said to be perfect.

Both the Saudi-funded news channel Al-Arabiya and, a little later, CBS Sports reported that the contract had been signed. However, both broadcasters did not name specific sources.

CBS Sports reported that Ronaldo has now signed a two-and-a-half-year contract, citing a source close to the club. Al-Arabiya also referred to a previous report in the Spanish sports newspaper "Marca", which recently reported on a possible seven-year contract. First two and a half years as a player, then as an ambassador for the World Cup application. Saudi Arabia is working with Egypt and Greece to host the 2030 World Cup.

No confirmation yet

So far, there has been no confirmation from Al-Nassr. Ronaldo initially did not publish anything on social networks that indicated a change. His last posting on Instagram was for the Brazilian football icon Pelé, who died in São Paulo on Thursday.

A contract with a club in Saudi Arabia brings Ronaldo a lot of money towards the end of his career and at the age of 37. In terms of sport, it would mean relegation after the 2016 European champions played for top European clubs such as Manchester United, Real Madrid and Juventus Turin. Since his noisy departure from Manchester United and before the World Cup, which was also disappointing for the superstar, Ronaldo has been without a club.
