Tournament in London: Price at the Darts World Cup clear - now a duel with Clemens?

The world number one Gerwyn Price continued his triumphal march at the Darts World Championship in London and can still hope for the second title in Alexandra Palace. The Welshman won 4-1 against the Portuguese José de Sousa and thus became the first player ever to secure a ticket to the round of 16 at this World Cup.

There it comes to a duel on New Year's with the winner of the game Gabriel Clemens (Germany) against Alan Soutar (Scotland). De Sousa surprisingly turned a 3-0 deficit against Ryan Searle into a 4-3 win in round three.

Price must win the tournament to remain world number one. So far he has had few problems. His clear 4-0 third round victory over former world champion Raymond van Barneveld (Netherlands) turned into a show of power. In addition to Price, Dutchman Michael van Gerwen and England's Michael Smith are other favorites for the title.
