Great praise from Toni Kroos: The Real star sees "no limits" to teammate Fede Valverde's potential if the 24-year-old continues to play like he has this season.
Valverde, who has found himself consistently in Real Madrid's starting XI for virtually the first time since moving to Spain, is enjoying a landmark season at Los Blancos.
The Uruguayan plays mainly as a winger and has nine points in 16 appearances across all competitions - luckily for Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti, who has publicly threatened to resign if the midfielder fails to score ten goals this season.
Kroos also recalled the first time he caught his eye on Valverde after the player returned to Real from a loan spell at Deportivo La Coruna in the summer of 2018.
"I remember it was during the tour ahead of the 2018/19 season in the United States. Our physio warned me to keep an eye on him because he knew I was his idol," revealed Kroos.
"I could tell straight away that he's a great guy. Very calm and humble. That's what I liked most about him. He didn't behave any differently because he traveled with us. He has everything in every training session given without fear of anything. I watched him on and off the pitch."
