Tennis: Swiatek clearly wins the Indian Wells final

World number one Iga Swiatek has won the Tennis Masters in Indian Wells for the second time. As in her debut victory in 2022, the 22-year-old Pole prevailed in the final against the Greek Maria Sakkari.

This time the four-time Grand Slam tournament winner only needed 68 minutes to win 6:4, 6:0.

For Swiatek, who didn't lose a single set throughout the entire tournament, it was the eighth victory in a WTA 1000 event. With this success, according to the WTA, Swiatek surpassed German tennis icon Steffi Graf (89.5) with a win rate of 90 percent at the hard court tournament in Indian Wells.

The prestigious tournament in California has been held for women since 1989 and is one of the most important events in the competition calendar after the four Grand Slam tournaments.
