Tennis: 377 weeks number one: Djokovic sets a Graf record

Novak Djokovic has been on hiatus since his triumph at the Australian Open. But even without playing, the 35-year-old Serb sets records.

The 22-time Grand Slam tournament champion has been number one in the world rankings for 377 weeks in his tennis career so far. The men's record holder also matched the record set by Steffi Graf, who also held the top position for women for 377 weeks.

Djokovic will return to the ATP tour at the tournament in Dubai next week. The coming weeks will be marked by an exciting duel between Djokovic and the Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz for first place. After a long injury break, Alcaraz came back on Sunday by winning the tournament in Buenos Aires and will be at the tournament in Rio de Janeiro this week.
