Without Sadio Mane, Senegal's hopes of progressing to the World Cup would be significantly diminished. The FC Bayern superstar injured his right fibula head on Tuesday evening and is unlikely to be fit for Senegal's group games.

However, the medical team of the Senegalese national team wanted to get their own picture of Mane's injury first. As RMC Sport reports on Wednesday evening, the 30-year-old is supposed to travel to Qatar one way or another. The report states that Senegal would be willing to sacrifice Manes' squad position and hope that the attacker would play by the third group play is operational again.
