NHL: Storm scores third: Sharks claim second win

The German ice hockey pro Nico Sturm has brought the San José Sharks the second win of the season in the NHL and contributed a goal.

The 27-year-old from Augsburg scored the goal to make it 3-0 at the Philadelphia Flyers. It was the third goal of the season for the forward, who won the Stanley Cup with the Colorado Avalanche last season.

Moritz Seider also played a role in his team's victory. Voted best rookie last season, the defenseman set up the Detroit Red Wings 5-1 goal against the Anaheim Ducks to make it 1-0. It was the third win of the season for the Red Wings.

Philipp Grubauer couldn't play at the 4:5 of the Seattle Kraken. The international goalkeeper has an unspecified lower body injury and is being reassessed daily.
