SC Freiburg has missed the return to the top of the Bundesliga table.
Both teams created numerous chances in the goalless draw against Borussia Mönchengladbach. There were no goals, however, because in a fast-paced encounter it was primarily the two goalkeepers who stood out. There was no getting past Freiburg's Mark Flekken and Yann Sommer in the Borussia case.
In the end, the point was not enough for the Freiburgers to overtake 1. FC Union Berlin, who had previously won in Cologne. They are now in second place with 13 points.
