Luge World Cup in St. Moritz: Podium triple for Germany

The German female lugers dominated the World Cup in St. Moritz. Shortly before the season finale, Dajana Eitberger prevailed in front of Julia Taubitz and world champion Anna Berreiter.

In her penultimate single-seater race, the 32-year-old Eitberger won in 1:48.396 minutes on the natural track with a lead of 0.010 seconds over the 26-year-old Taubitz. Berreiter (23) was 0.071 seconds behind.

Decision in the overall World Cup postponed

With her third win of the season, Eitberger postponed the decision in the fight for the overall World Cup. Before the last race of the weekend in Winterberg, Taubitz (892 points) leads with a lead of 90 points over Eitberger (802), who will be racing in the doubles next winter. 23-year-old Anna Berreiter (719) is third overall. 100 points are awarded for a win in tobogganing.

"I think it's nice if it stays really exciting until the end," said Taubitz on ARD. "I'm realistic about that. I won't admit defeat, otherwise I wouldn't be there at all," commented Eitberger.
