Liverpool homegrown Curtis Jones has signed a long-term extension with the Reds

Liverpool FC have extended the contract of homegrown Curtis Jones. The 21-year-old, whose contract was valid until 2025 anyway, has signed a new, long-term working paper. The Reds did not provide any information about the exact term.

Curtis Jones has played for the LFC since the under-9s. Born in Liverpool, he made his professional debut in 2019 and has been an integral part of Jürgen Klopp's squad ever since. In the current season, the midfielder has made four appearances in the Premier League and twice in the Champions League.

"First of all I want to thank the coaching staff for always believing in me and giving me the chance," Jones said after signing. "And of course I'm over the moon, I'm over the moon. It was an easy decision [to renew]. It's my childhood club, I'm a Scouser, I've supported the club my whole life, so yeah I'm over the moon and can't wait to see what the future holds," the 21-year-old continued.
