Bayern talent Paul Wanner will take part in a sighting course run by the Austrian Football Association for the first time at the end of November. So far, the German-Austrian has played for the DFB.

The 16-year-old, whose father is from Germany and his mother from Austria, has played 15 junior internationals for the German team to date. Wanner also took part in the U17 European Championship for the DFB.

The Austrian sighting course will take place from November 21st to 25th in Pula, Croatia and will include players born between 2000 and 2005. "The squad does not claim to be complete, there are also many other players on our watch list. I think that we have an interesting mix here," explained ÖFB sports director Peter Schöttel.

Schöttel, who, in addition to his sporting director role, also looks after the senior national team as an assistant coach, had already revealed in February that he wanted to try to get Wanner to change associations.
