National ice hockey player Tim Stützle has received a long-term contract with the Ottawa Senators from the North American professional league NHL. The 20-year-old striker has signed an eight-year contract starting in 2023, the club said.

During this time, Stützle collects $66.8 million, an average of $8.35 million a year. The exceptional talent was selected number three by the Senators in the 2020 NHL draft and had signed a three-year contract. As a rookie in the 2020-21 season, he had 12 goals and 17 assists in 53 games. In total, he had 34 goals and 53 assists in his first two seasons.
