The German handball champion SC Magdeburg has shown a reaction after the last two defeats against Paris Saint-Germain and in Flensburg.
In addition to Matthias Musche (tendon injury), the SCM also had to do without Omar Ingi Magnusson at short notice for personal reasons. Both teams were on target, the goalkeepers initially played no role. So it was almost 12 minutes already 8:8. Magdeburg missed a few balls up front and defensively couldn't get Sergei Korosotov under control, who kept hitting from the back. Only shortly before the break did the SCM manage to take a first two-goal lead (16:14/28.).
Even after the break, both teams made hair-raising technical mistakes, but after a few minutes the guests couldn't do anything thanks to the strong Jensen and SCM pulled away decisively with a 6-0 run (23:17/39.). On Sunday, the SCM meets MT Melsungen in the Bundesliga before taking on the IHF Super Globe in Saudi Arabia as the defending champions.
