In the Champions League cracker against Paris Saint-Germain, FC Bayern Munich went on relaxed in the end, but it didn't look like it would do for the full 180 minutes. Bayern goalkeeper Yann Sommer in particular drew attention to himself with an unusual mistake when he lost the ball to PSG player Vitinha in an extremely unfavorable position.

Yann Sommer had his colleague Matthijs de Ligt to thank for the fact that Vitinha was not able to score into the empty goal: he literally saved the goalkeeper who had already been beaten and thus prevented the goal from being conceded. After the game, Yann Sommer surprised with an unusual announcement: "I'll put a truck with Swiss chocolate in front of his door. It's amazing how he saved me!"

The club soon realized that it wasn't just a saying: on Thursday, a truck full of chocolate biscuits from Switzerland was on its way to Munich. It is unclear whether Sommer actually ordered the delivery or whether the manufacturer took the opportunity for PR on its own behalf. De Ligt himself had recently revealed that Sommer had not yet redeemed his debts: "No, not yet. I said: 'We are in good shape today, so it's better not to eat too much chocolate.' "

Apparently, FC Bayern also did not expect the lavish delivery of four Euro pallets with chocolate bars and politely refused to hand them over - only ten minutes before the goods would actually have arrived. For the manufacturer, that meant frustration and a long trip back - almost, because together with the association, another solution was considered and the goods were delivered directly to the Tafel.

There, those in need can now look forward to 700 kilograms of chocolate, as the head of the table Steffen Horak reports to "tz": "The chocolate will go into our regular distribution this week and we will make sure that all of our 28 distribution points get some of it."
