Record champions Bayern Munich face ex-coach Pep Guardiola's Manchester City in the quarter-finals of the Champions League. That was the result of the draw on Friday afternoon in Nyon, Switzerland, by former Schalke and Bayern player Hamit Altintop and former Dutch international Patrick Kluivert as "Losfeen".

FC Bayern must first play away from home in the quarter-finals. The other matches in the round of eight are as follows:

Bayern's sporting director Hasan Salihamidžić said after the draw: "This is the pairing that is the best in this quarter-final. I like playing against the good guys. Our boys are always focused." He described Manchester City as the strongest opponent. "This is another small final for us."
