Manchester United failed in the quarter-finals of the Europa League to record winners FC Sevilla, while Juventus Turin is happy in the semi-finals. United lost 0:3 (0:1) to the Spaniards, Juventus handed in a 1:1 (1:1) win at Sporting Lisbon.
Youssef En-Nesyri (8th minute/81st) and Loic Badé (47th) scored the goals for Sevilla. 2-2 in the first leg, United's European campaign is over, while Sevilla meet Juve in the semi-finals and could win the competition for the seventh time.
Juventus handed the draw at Sporting after 1-0 in the first leg. Adrien Rabiot (9th) gave Juve the lead, Marcus Edwards (20th/penalty) equalized for Sporting. The Portuguese then pushed for victory but were unlucky. The game between AS Roma and Feyenoord Rotterdam went into overtime.
Conference League: Florence continue despite home bankruptcy
In the Conference League, AC Florenz, AZ Alkmaar and West Ham United made it into the round of the top four teams. After the 4:1 win in the first leg, Florence could afford a 2:3 (0:1) home defeat against Lech Poznan.
Alkmaar beat RSC Anderlecht 4-1 (2-0, 2-0, 2-0) on penalties to reverse their 2-0 first-leg defeat. West Ham United easily won 4-1 (1-1) against KAA Gent. The remaining quarter-finals between OGC Nice and FC Basel initially went into overtime.
