Distraction from the crisis: Argentina suffers from 100 percent inflation. It's a good thing that the World Cup is here - at least for a few days

Angela Fernández has seen everything in life - dictatorship, hyperinflation, countless economic crises - and two world titles, "the highlights of my life". One during the military dictatorship in 1978. One against Germany in 1986. "I want a third one before I die," says the pensioner.

Actually, she currently has completely different problems, namely surviving in this crisis with 100 percent inflation, but football is giving her and all Argentines a short break from reality. "I'm an ardent supporter of the Selección and Messi. They're giving us a lot of joy right now, but the truth is, after the World Cup, the struggle for survival continues."
